Chapter 7 – Jesus is Life

John 14:6 is the passage of Scripture that I use to anchor my blog upon. The title of this blog is “For Truth” and the web address is www.mikehartfortruth.com. John 14:6 tells us that Jesus is the Truth! It also tells us that Jesus is the Life!

⁶Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

I don’t know if you noticed yet that the title of this blog post is “Jesus is Life.” The Bible is full of passages telling us that Jesus and Life are synonymous! Folks… life can be hard! Often times life seems unfair, brutal, or even against us! Why then, if Jesus is Life, does it sometimes feel like it is just way too heavy on our shoulders? John 16:33 bears that out:

³³“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

In God’s plan for us, He designed a way for us to make it through this world of trouble and heaviness. It is to be fully immersed in Jesus!!! So… at this point, I will begin sharing Scripture passages that remind us, over and over, that Jesus is the answer to life!!!

John 10:10 (NIV84)
¹⁰The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Romans 6:23 (NIV84)
²³For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

James 1:12 (NIV84)
¹²Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Are you convinced yet that Jesus is the answer to life? Do you need some more convincing? Okay… here’s a few more:

I was spending some time talking to the Lord about this blog post, and He literally downloaded a song into my mind. It came seemingly out of nowhere. I asked Him what I should do with it. He answered by saying to my mind, “google the lyrics and put them in the post.”
