So – Why is this one different?I brought up this question while talking with a trusted Christian friend this morning over breakfast. We had an anointed conversation regarding the statement the Lord instructed me to write. To refresh our memory: (There is warfare going on right now that eclipses the effects of World War I and 2, Korea, Viet Nam and Afghanistan put together!)
As my friend and I discussed this declaration, he shared the following with me, and we both agreed that it was the Lord’s answer to our uncertainty. Here is my paraphrase of my friend’s statement:
Yes, all previous wars were certainly fought as a struggle between GOOD and EVIL, (ideology one vs ideology two), (God vs Satan.) However, there is one huge difference between the previous wars and the one that’s raging in the United States right now. That difference is the way the battle is manifesting in our world.
Prior wars were definitely spiritual battles, but they were observed primarily in the physical realm. Death and destruction could be seen in the tangible world. It was pretty obvious, we were at war!
The current war is happening mostly in the spiritual realm, with little being witnessed in the physical. This fact alone makes it more sinister and difficult to identify. On the outward it appears to be nothing more than politics as usual! If we just wait for the midterm election, or in three more years we can vote in a new regime…see, politics as usual!
It grieves me to have to say it, but this “IS NOT JUST POLITICS AS USUAL” it is all out war, and satan is determined to win!
Look at this from the perspective of ideology one. The United States is standing in the way of their ultimate goal of world domination. To borrow the phrase used by President Ronald Reagan in his election eve address on November 3, 1980 – A vision for America … “They are Americans awed by what has gone before, proud of what for them is still…a shining city on a hill.”
The United States of America has been, and continues to be, that shining hope to other countries of the world. They know that if the United States falls, like the domino effect, they won’t be far behind. Guess what…the devil knows it too and is right now fighting with all the forces, and power at his disposal, to make this country a totalitarian state, falling into the sinister clutches of ideology one.
