- Censorship, and not allowing an honest debate to take place regarding the issues of our day.
It’s a well known fact that the quickest way to dominate any conversation or debate is to silence the challenging viewpoint. As we discussed in earlier chapters, ideology number one currently has authority over all seven spheres of influence, giving them the ability to mute, silence or block any opposing perspective.
Anyone who has been paying any attention at all, has become aware of what is being referred to as “The Cancel Culture”. This is an interesting phenomenon. You see, ideology number one portrays itself as being an “all inclusive” group. They pride themselves on being open minded and sticking up for the little guy. Closer examination however, shows just the opposite. They will fight for the little guy as long as the little guy believes the same way that they do. This is the very definition of hypocrisy!
How does this Cancel Culture play out? If an individual or group, states their viewpoint either written or verbally, and it opposes the perspective of ideology number one, they can and will be silenced in a number of possible ways. Let’s explore some but certainly not all of those ways:
1) If person or group expresses a differing viewpoint on social media, they run the risk of being banned from that social media platform for a time period or possibly permanently. Who decides what is offensive? The social media platform itself decides, and as it turns out, the social media platform is closely aligned with ideology number one. Hmmm?
2) If an individual or group expresses a viewpoint, contrary to the ideology number one position, regarding a person, group or faction deemed in need of protection, they can be charged with a HATE crime. Who decides what constitutes a HATE crime? Ideology number one makes that decision, and they can back it up because they own the courts at all levels. Scary!
3) An employee can be told by their employer that they must comply with the demands of ideology number one, or lose their job. If the employer doesn’t comply and carry out the threat, they run the risk of sanctions and could lose their business in the process.
These heavy-handed tactics smack of corruption, blackmail, extortion, intimidation, coercion, or at least threats of force! So how do they get by with it? Once again…they own the courts!
I promised earlier to provide a measure of hope for the future. Hang on just a little longer, I’ll get there I promise! I’m still painting the picture of where we currently stand as a country.
