God so Loved the World that He Gave His Son: The greatest Spiritual battle ever fought – part fifteen

If you have not read the previous two posts regarding the children, I would encourage you to do so prior to reading the rest of this post. The enemy, satan, has been targeting children for as long as there has been recorded history and I’m certain even before that! The Bible informs us of child sacrifices to false gods such as Baal, Molech, and Ashtoreth, and that Almighty God detests the practice. I repeat… The enemy has been, and is currently, targeting children (See below)

Deuteronomy 12:31 (NIV)
31You must not worship the LORD your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the LORD hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.

Ask yourself this question: why is the devil so interested in convincing us human beings that killing babies / children in the name of religious worship, is the right thing to do? Make no mistake… he is going after the children!  But why????
Please leave a comment on this blog or send me a message with your answer to that question! I look forward to reading your responses, and I will share some of them in next week’s post.

  • That leads us to the obvious issue that we are compelled to discuss… abortion. I realize that some people reading this post may have had an abortion or participated in the aborting of an unborn child. Let me be very clear right up front that God is not desirous to condemn anyone. He is ready, willing, and able to wrap His arms around any of us, and provide forgiveness, love, support, help and anything else that is needed! However… the fact remains that from the time of conception we are talking about a real life here, born or unborn. (See below)

    Jeremiah 1:4-5 (NIV)

4 The word of the LORD came to me, saying, 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

In this Scripture passage God is talking to the prophet Jeremiah, removing all doubt that an unborn child is a life in God’s heart and mind! We can debate the moral and ethical issues; many of them are certainly difficult for us to wrap our heads and hearts around: rape, incest, health of the mother, condition of the baby and on and on. However, the fact remains that this is an unborn child, a life that is loved and treasured by God!

For all abortions, other than for the reasons listed above, we must ask ourselves if the decision was made for reasons of inconvenience or expediency! In situations such as these, I have heard it voiced that it becomes a matter of sacrificing a life to the false god of convenience. Whether it is or isn’t, is not for us to judge, but it is something for us to ponder. Judging a person’s motives is a dangerous practice. God says that judgment is for Him to do not us! We will all stand before Almighty God someday, and answer for the decisions we have made. (See below)

Deuteronomy 32:43 (ESV)
43 “Rejoice with him, O heavens; bow down to him, all gods, for he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He repays those who hate him and cleanses his people’s land.”

It is up to each one of us to go to the Lord and seek His guidance and instruction on this issue as in all other situations of life. I do know for a fact that God is a God of forgiveness!  Even if we have made decisions or done things that are not pleasing to God, we can repent and receive wonderful forgiveness through the Blood of Jesus, our Redeemer! (See below)

1 John 1:5-9 (NIV)
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

  1. my first response to your question why??? it is much easier for Satan to work with a calloused heart than a heart that is caring and loving. but maybe that calloused heart is really damaged, hurting, and confused. Satan has blinded these people so they do not understand that they are actually a life. thank God for His Wonderful Mercy and Grace.
