God so Loved the World that He Gave His Son: The greatest Spiritual battle ever fought – part forty eight

Hello to my faithful blog readers. Today is Friday, but not just any Friday… this is the one we commonly call Good Friday! This is the day when we reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We remember Jesus dying on a cruel cross to pay the atonement price for our sin! As we show Him appreciation, we must ask ourselves if the Cross was the last or final thing He would do for us. The answer is a resounding NO! Jesus continues to do battle for each and every one of us as we try to navigate through life! There seems to be so many negative things going on in our country and the world right now that it becomes difficult to stay positive. I think we all need to focus on some encouraging declarations from God’s Word! So… for this blog post that’s what we’ll do! Jesus and His Angelic Forces are at work fighting the enemy right now!

Isaiah 61:7-8 (NIV)
7 Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs. 8 “For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them.

Psalm 7:14-15 (ESV)

14 Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies. 15 He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made.

Romans 12:19 (ESV)
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3:17 (ESV)
17 I said in my heart, God will judge the righteous and the wicked, for there is a time for every matter and for every work.

Isaiah 56:1 (ESV)
1 Thus says the LORD: “Keep justice, and do righteousness, for soon my salvation will come, and my righteousness be revealed.

Galatians 6:7 (ESV)
7Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

2 Samuel 3:39 (ESV)
39 The LORD repay the evildoer according to his wickedness!

It may seem like the evil doers are prevailing, however The LORD is fighting the battles in the spiritual realm!!!  We must remember that other people are not our enemy. The real adversary is the evil demonic forces that are waging war by using the people that “appear” to be the enemy! Our part in the battle is to target the evil, forces in prayer, and to follow the Lord’s direction. He will work through us and give us our marching orders in this unseen war that rages all around us!

Ephesians 6:12 (ESV)
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Prayer:
Jesus, we take time right now to reaffirm our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for Your great love for us! The love that was manifested on the Cross! We also bestow on You glory, honor, and reverence for the way you continue to do battle for us against a vicious, cruel enemy! Thank You Jesus! Amen

Psalm 108:13 (NLT2)

13 With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
